Jo Jingles primarily run music and movement classes for pre-school children and it is only recently that we have begun to run parties as a direct response from requests from parents already attending classes.

What age Group do we cater for?

We have run parties for any age of child up to about 8 or 9 years. It is important to stress that for very young children parent participation is paramount if the party is to succeed. What better way to celebrate your child's birthday than with your friends and their children. Even adults enjoy doing the Hokey Cokey!

What do we do?

We have a whole hour where we sing well known songs and action songs, we play 2 different types of percussion instruments and we also have streamers, wings, bean bags and a parachute. It doesn't matter if the children haven't been to Jo Jingles before, we are very aware that the success of your party depends on the children having a great time and we will have plenty of well known songs to hand, along with some great action songs too. If your child has been to our classes before then let us know if they have any favourite songs and we'll have it all ready for the big day. The parachute is very popular although this is recommended for children aged 4 and above. Although our leader will run all of the party she will need the help of other adults if the using the parachute.

What about themed parties?

We have done themed parties too and these are very popular as they tie in well with dressing up. Examples are a circus, walking through the Jungle, going to the farm or a theme of your choice. However, a word of caution, please talk to us first before you choose your theme. It is important to choose something that has songs that the children will know. (For example, there are not very many songs about princesses and pirates!)
